WEEK 03 - AIAD 1

 ABANDONED PHOTOGRAPHY MUSEUM

The picture above shows the four lenses that have been chosen during my research for different types of optical lens design. Users only know different type of lenses with the different types of aperture that each of the lenses had but most of them did not know what kind of optical lenses are being used inside the camera lens. Here, I would like to show audiences how light refracts through the different types of lenses.

The main raw materials used in the camera's body are these two, which are polycarbonate and lens. Polycarbonate compound, containing 10-20% glass fibre. This material is very durable, lightweight, and shock-resistant as well as tolerant to humidity and temperature changes. Its major disadvantage is that it is not resistant to chemicals. The polycarbonate is moulded to very specific tolerances because the internal workings of the camera must fit precisely to work well and to use the strength of the chassis for protection against jarring and other shocks, to which mechanical and electronic parts are sensitive. The lenses are basically used in the camera lens and also the viewfinder, usually, it is made of optical glass, plastic, or glass and plastic combination

The main medium will be the "racks". These racks will come in different design and function according to their uses and needs.

For the photographs, the medium will be the rotating rack. There will be two rotations which are the clockwise rotation which is for the inner part of the furniture and the anticlockwise rotation which is for the outer part of the furniture.

For the lenses, the medium will be still a "rack" but it won't rotate, but instead, it can be moved to adjust the distances between each of the lenses for the particular optical lens design.

REFLECTIONS

At this time of the week, I showed my progress on my medium to the tutor. My tutor gave me some ideas to consider. So, I tried to brainstorm other ideas as well together with my tutor's advice.
