WEEK 10 - POSTER (DP)

POSTER

The four (4) oval-shaped represents the different lenses used to make one camera lens design wherein each lens are for the topic, issues, solution (medium), and about aJPEGallery (project name).

The first lens represents the topic.
A cliff was made to show that despite all the photographers out there, not all of them are professional and have gained many audiences. Some might be by at the end of the cliff but are still trying hard some lose their confidence and just ending up discarding their artworks.

The second lens represents the issue.
The unbalancedness and separation of the lens show the difference between a professional and an amateur photographer. In this case, both have the meaningful stories behind the photographs they took, but then, since a professional has the recognition and well-known, a professional have more audiences to share the photographs. Meanwhile, that is not the case for an amateur.

The third lens represents the solution.
Showing where people gather around the exhibition rack slowly and the lens starts to fill in completely. As it takes time for people to get to know about this exhibition, and as time goes by, people with different kind of stories and experiences will come and would like to share their experiences with other people as well. Even the visitors of the exhibition could be one of the photographers of the photographs exhibited in the rack in the future.

The fourth lens represents the gallery (aJPEGallery).
A place made for people with stories they want to share through photographs. Made for them to interact and sharing with each other. This shows where visitors could go through and experience the programming that will be made in the space.

The topic of the issues is abandoned photographs. The issue I choose from this topic is regarding the difference between professional and amateur photographers. It is shown that they are separated due to the difference in total audiences they have. Both of them share their photographs on a social network. On top of that,  professional photographers have more possibility in increasing their audiences by having an exhibition. They already have the experiences, skills, and more to hold that exhibition, but not for an amateur or even just a normal community who just like to keep and share their memories through photographs. Therefore the solution for the amateur photographers out there or even people with stories they would like to share through photographs is to create a space where they could exhibit their photographs. Space where the audiences could sympathize with the stories by seeing the photos in a more interactive way which is the medium, the rotating rack. The design and mechanism in this rack itself representing how a camera lens moves during the zoom in and out process and focus, it also represents how lights come through in the camera lens with different settings made.
